Soothing and Centering for Singers - Supported Rest

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves as humans and expressive artists is true rest. In this workshop, we will rest in restorative yoga positions, supported by household props like pillows and towels. At the end of each period of rest, singers will have the opportunity to reawaken the body through simple vocalizing.

No experience necessary! All minds and bodies are welcome. All positions can be customized for your comfort.

Meditation offers us the opportunity to observe the patterns of our thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. The simple act of self-observation leads to a greater space between what we experience and what we choose to do. The cultivation of concentration, mental and emotional spaciousness, and compassion enhance every aspect of singing coordination and authentic artistry.

This 90-minute workshop will explore:
